Autobiographical Magic
ARTEM is a hybrid one-man show blending storytelling, physical theatre and new magic.
We see Artem Shchukin a few moments before he takes the stage at the 2022 World Magic Championships.
In this fictional box, time expands and contracts. Every gesture evokes a memory.
The performance is created in this in-between space: between backstage and stage, between memory and action. Artem speaks. He addresses the audience. He shares fragments of his exile, his journeys, his silences.
But sometimes, words fail. Magic takes over — not as a feat, but as a slow rise of embodied emotion.
The stage language thus oscillates between spoken directness and silent, almost hypnotic shifts, where reality slips beneath the spectator's feet.
